I have never much been one to read for recreation so it comes as a surprise, even to me, that I am here now writing this. Blind purchases do sometimes pay off do they not? This is also the very first Visual Novel I have ever completed. Also keep in mind this is a Kinetic Novel so there is very little interaction with the player.

We open up this story with an assassination attempt by some insurgents against the monarchy of the kingdom. Forced to flee in an unconventional manner our protagonists end up some place that is both unexpected and almost inconceivable.

The universe is quite fascinating. It is definitely in the realm of swords-and-sorcery fantasy as much as it is in the same realm as semi-modern technology akin to our own. There is a huge cultural divide across the world that is based on a very real phenomenon. It is also something that can not be dealt with in a reasonable manner either.

Our protagonists are the proverbial "fish out of water" which is pretty handy since we know nothing of the world ourselves(and it is quite ambitious). Although, the game does have a basic encyclopedia in which it further clarifies a few choice keywords that pop up semi-frequently.

The characters are a ton of fun. We meet all manner of folk and get to know most of them quite well. Even if they are not members of the main plot. Everyone has a charm all their own.

The writing is solid for the most part. However, there are instances of misspellings and odd uses of grammar. There was also at least one instance of a name being spelled two different ways. I cannot give it a pass here since these things stick out to me and hurt my immersion a bit.

Despite the writing, though, there was something that really helped my immersion. That thing was the music. The score of this game is absolutely fantastic. It does not have a ton of variation but what is there is truly a gem.

Conclusion
I loved it. The characters, the world, and especially the music really pulled it all together for me. Time literally flew out the window as I was reading this. The story had a whole lot more depth to it than I expected. The only down side was the occasional writing error but overall it was a wonderful experience!

Recommendation
Yes, you fool, yes! If you like stories about fantastic other-worlds and great characters then check it out!

P.S. There is a part 2 out now and I cannot wait to dig into that!
