*Note: Absolutely do not watch this if you have not yet watched the first two parts of the series.
We are back, once again, in tiny Hinamizawa with Keiichi and Co. Things should all be back to normal, right? Well, they are, for the most part. Having fun with your friends at the swimming pool is a great way to celebrate a hard-fought victory against fate itself. However, after being careless things start to go awry once again. Will there be a way out this time?
I absolutely love this series because of how dark and twisted it is. After having finished up with Kai(part 2) this seemed like almost an afterthought. I would in no way say that this is in any way a mandatory view after seeing parts 1 and 2. However, having said that, we do get a little bit more character development with Rika and Hanyu and that is always a welcome addition to any beloved story.
The animation assets from DEEN are also improved quite a bit. The overall style is the same but everything just looks a lot cleaner. If anything is different, it's the eyes. They are just not quite the same, but it was not really a bother to me.
Conclusion
This was a really short series of episodes with some laughs as well as some sorrow. It's a great addition to the main series but is in no way(in my opinion) mandatory.
Recommendation
If you are a diehard of the series, by all means, pick it up. It's a quick watch and gives a nice chunk of extra time with the town of Hinamizawa.
