Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Zwei/Zwei Herz - Anime Review

Having settled everything in the first season, there's nothing left to do but fix the mana lines. Unfortunately, an earthquake turns the situation dire. Quickly, Miyu and Illya spring into action to try and keep Rin and Luvia safe. Long story short: After the ordeal, Illya ends up with a Doppleganger. Huh? Oh, ya, and she's quite the bad seed.

Dark Illya, or Kuro as she comes to be called, is quite a great addition to the cast. It adds yet another problem to Illya's already hectic life in all the right ways. Besides that, across the 2 seasons we get a lot more character development with almost the every character. Illya's friends and classmates all get a lot more time to shine and they are a riot! Oh, and that school nurse. Well, she's a special snowflake, that's for sure.

How are the story and action? I can assure you that both are still in top form. Towards the end of Zwei Herz, though, I am a bit concerned on where the story might lead, however, I am still optimistic. It is still no-nonsense and does a great job of not overstaying its welcome. Giving as much as it needs and plenty of it. The action, too, is awesome as always. Some bits of CG were a bit more obvious but they do a decent job of trying to blend it all together. Silver Link still delivers an absolutely gorgeous work. I know this kind of thing is subjective, but I really like their style.

Conclusion

Did you like the first season of Prisma Illya? If so, you're getting more of that here. It's basically character development until the big showdown and neither segment disappoints. Although both parts are only 10 episodes each(exactly the same as the first season) it still feels like a complete package. There is still an abundance of humor, too. The shorts are quite amusing as well.

Recommendation

Of course! If you watched through the first season, and enjoyed it, I see no reason you wouldn't like the rest. Just keep in mind it is quite a bit more focused on adult humor. Still.
