The group consists of 4 mostly terrible women. They go from zero to catty in an instant, which made me wonder how they even got together. They all come from very different backgrounds but all have the same dream. Fortunately, the young scientist is quite the brain, backed with a seemingly infinite supply of money, so the trip to The Moon seems totally viable; kinda. Unfortunately, he lacks experience and foresight in many of his projects. There are many things that go wrong that could have, maybe, been easily avoided.
The basic story arc is pretty straight-forward. Many things are tried in getting to The Moon with almost as many failures. Some of the ideas are just incomprehensible but are totally hilarious! I actually got a ton of laughs from this silly little adventure. The clash in personalities and ideologies from all the characters made for some pretty interesting situations.
Conclusion
I got this on a really deep discount on a holiday sale to fill out an order. I am no stranger to taking risks on this kind of stuff. I have been burned before, yes, but I have actually been pleasantly surprised more than I expected. It is a pretty old series so, as far as I can tell, DVD is the only option. This was unexpectedly hilarious and absolutely worth a watch to any comedy fan. Hell, even people interested in science and space travel should check it out purely for the creative insanity on display.
Recommendation
Hell ya! It is short and should not break the bank should you want to invest in the set!
